The Trojans struck first at 12:43 of the opening period on a goal by Chris Archambo, with assists to Derek Gardiner
and Nick Aja, only to have Grosse Pointe South tie the game just a short 32 seconds later. Neither team could
convert on several "Grade A" opportunities in the second period and the game was still tied 1-1 until 14:23 of
the third when Tim Shields got the game winner for South with assists to Lance Lucas and Brandon Brundige.
Goaltending on both ends was stellar with Hunter Kelly making 16 saves for the Trojans while Trevor Sattelmeier
came up with 19 stops for South. Grosse Pointe South will take on South Lyon in Saturday's Championship game while the Trojans will face tournament host East Kentwood in the consolation game.
