Alex Goodhue scored the game-winner 2:23 into overtime as Traverse City Central knocked off Gaylord 4-3 to stay in a tie atop the Big North Conference with TC West.
Shane Darrow and Dane Macdonell assisted on Goodhue's score, a one-timer on a pass from Darrow behind the net.
Jesse Richardson and Kyle Eckert scored third-period goal for the Blue Devils to force overtime, with Eckert's coming with 1:42 left in regulation.
Central went up on first-period goals by Chris Archambo (Jared VanWormer, Derek Gardiner) and Darrow (Macdonell, Luke Stricker), sandwiched around a Scott Horrigan unassisted tally for Gaylord.
Van Wormer scored in the second period from Darrow and Eric Swy to give the Trojans a 3-1 bulge heading into the third.
Hunter Kelly made 18 saves for the Trojans, while Brandon Knopp stopped 19 shots for Gaylord (7-13-0, 3-6).
Central (13-6-1, 7-2 BNC) completes its league slate next Wednesday at Cadillac, playing the Michigan Hockey Showcase this Friday and Saturday.
