TRAVERSE CITY -- Jared VanWormer's hat trick is leading to a game that's become old hat.

VanWormer's trio of goals were all Traverse City Central needed in a 3-1 victory over Dearborn Divine Child, setting up a title game with Orchard Lake St. Mary's for the fourth straight year in the finale of the Traverse City Central Holiday Tournament.

Cooper Macdonell assisted on all three VanWormer goals, while Alex Wietrick had two and Lucas Little one.

VanWormer struck 41 seconds into the game, then again 11 minutes into the first period and again 41 seconds into the third frame.

Central is 2-1 against the Eaglets in the tourney finals the last three years, dropping last year's title game 3-0.

Bill Vermetten made 21 saves for the Trojans (5-5).

An all-sophomore line played well as TC Central rolled four lines at the Falcons.

"The line of Little, Keanen Armour and Connor Gartland -- they don't show up on the score sheet other than Lucas -- but they played well all night," Central coach Chris Givens said.
